Turms out that Gaming can actually be good for your kids
We all knew it, and we told them so but they wouldn't listen. But there's no question that gamings reputation having taken so many hits and on the ground is now standing slowly but STEADILY up. Hell yeah corporate media and generation gap plus its 2014 non comon sense, gaming wont go down so easy. There's been a ton of researches about how demonizing of gaming is wrong and that they in fact improve reflexes, imagination, ability to think around the box etc
And in the midst of all that here's an article from Indiatoday published today which adds to all the researches and non demonizing of the Games as an entertainment form sections of traditional media that gaming wont make your son/some daughters a asocial type, psycopath, a loner, a moron or anything bad on the contrary if indulged in non excessive ways, they make you better. But yea you or your parent (if your a kid reading this) has to draw some lines unless you want them to turn into hardcore gamers like yours truly here :D (We can do jobs, have good relationships with people, act well [Sharukh Khans admitted in countless interviews he likes to play video games and he's in the playstation/pc camp btw] so please give our hobby a break all of you around us)

Xcom Enemy Within Completes the game
Hi y'all
Today was the first time that 2k has impressed me with something good in a good little while. I had preordered Xcom Enemy Unknown way back in October 2012 because of all the hype being created about the game back then and I had downloaded and played the demo as soon as it was available and yeah the demo had blown me away but as I explained in my review of the game on Steam, the game just didnt hit the spot. Here's my review of the game on steam http://steamcommunity.com/id/bratprince/recommended/200510?snr=1_5_9__402 profile page http://steamcommunity.com/id/bratprince/ some of my main problems with the game were ai was too overpowered in that it would hit from a full screen away while your will be given 5% chance of hitting the ai if the roles were reversed then there was how the flanking system works and the aiming percentages too which were way off... I still however enjoyed the game enough to finish it once and then trying out several ironaman (a single save is maintained by the game and if your Lt Sniper died or you mucked up some teching choice, its permanent) mode games on classic difficulty (finished only once lol)
Still an expansion came out a while ago and people like my own steam friends were saying it completes the game, balances it, makes the flanking and aiming system much better, improves multiplayer, adds new enemies and resources and quite a bit more but I was skeptical and didnt get it but when I saw an awesome deal on Flipkart here... the game + ITS EXPANSION ENEMY WITHIN all for 499 rs I could not resist and got it and I have to say my friends were indeed right this completes the game by fixing quite a few things and adding quite a few things too...(I can tell you they were right because I have been playing it all day and boy am I having a blast) Tinkering with the new resource "Meld" and the new structures+ managing a lot of the old stuff is fin indeed. so well now it finally feels like a complete game AND MORE IMPORTANTLY... worthy of the praise people lavish on Xcom Enemy Unknown. So if you like strategy games and would like to check out what all the Xcom fuss is about is or if you are like me, stuck with the original game only, definitely give this package a try.

Another mundane humble Bundle comes out which wants you to pay for games in bundles of increasing price. Once again, there's games I haven't ever heard of and it has some games in the average collection you might want if your a hipster and show your steam/real friends that you play different sort of games and therefore are above them and another fixed tier with some more games which can be called nice at best....Here's the bundle and here endth the sarcasm
Because once again Humble Bundle manages to bring forth games that are a steal at the the prices they are being sold at and as a PC gamer I just find its Fckn AWESOME!!!
So here are the bundles almost exactly as they appear on the Humble Bundle website...
Because once again Humble Bundle manages to bring forth games that are a steal at the the prices they are being sold at and as a PC gamer I just find its Fckn AWESOME!!!
So here are the bundles almost exactly as they appear on the Humble Bundle website...
1. First up are games that you can pay for whatever you want even just a single dollar. (not below that misers) and here are the games Thief (E), Diakatana(N/A..looking Forward to), Mini Ninjas.(E)
Anachronox (N/A..looking Forward to), Hitman: Code name 47 (half played..looking forward to finishing the job) & Hitman 2 Silent Assasin (N/P but know its an EEE..so looking forward to this one which has been on my play list for years...wow)
2. Next up Pay the average of what other customers are paying for these two bundles:- Deus Ex: Invisble War (a classic) Deux EX the Fall(The new Deuus Ex... hope its just as goid as predecessors)
Nosgoth Veteran Pack* (a F2P game but this game seriously is the real thing, like TF2 or Dota2, based on the Kanes Legacy Series Oh I so love it and the pc Raziel) a veteran pack in this amazing game is nothing I repeat nothing to scoff at... Battlestations Midway(N/P but heard good things about it) + more games to come as it clearly says. Sometimes those new games are garbage but sometime you hit the lottery with them. Trust me ;-)
Pay more than the average of $7.71 to unlock!
3. The Fixed price bundle - $14.99 which will get you access to the above games. Alll Cult (doesnt mean old per se) games I dont think they require any introductions, still if you haven't heard of them google or metacritic them)
+
+
Pay $14.99 or more to unlock!
PLUS THESE AMAZING TUTKES... NOW IF WERE YOU AND I DIDNT OWN AT LEAST 70&% of The Average pride bundle + the basic, I would have been off on http://humblebundle.com buying this bundle. The 14.99 bundle? Ah well its nothing ti tempt me to take out 15$ from my account and pay to square and charitues but you know what my gf in newly into gaming, I just got this idea that I am gonna purchase the average price bundle for her. See you guys, I'm off to buy a bundle and so should YOU!!
Edit:- boght just the humble Bundle a I already have quite a huge gaming backlog and I wanna finish thema or at least most of theml if noyradyu fomosj ,psu pf ou

P.S You know the best part is that you decide how much of your purchase amount goes to "really" good charities, Developers and http://www.HumbleBundle.com right?
*Nosgoth is a free to play pvp and other online modes of games based on the legacy of kain series. The Series is Ultra Brilliant and this Multiplayer is also brililliant. Getting a Veteran pack for this game is ABSOLUTELY nothing to scoff at

Skyrim 75% off for 4.99$ while legendary edition going for 13.59 meaning I'm finally getting Skyrim for PC as well
All thanks to Quakecon which I talked about yesterday in my rant about Bethesda and Microsoft not releasing fallout3 and Fallout-New Vegas here in India, I failed to notice that among the plethora of great game bundles in Quakecon there was Skyrim too which has so far has gone on sale only once before on steam - during the recent summer sale I believe. Anyways, if you haven;t grabbed skyrim till now and want a legit steam version (if you know what I mean) with much easier mod-ability, go grab it now. As I am doing.
Now, I know that the gaming community is all gaga over this game but to be honest I personally have had a lot of problem 'getting into' Skyrim in the past which is surprising considering how much time I spent in FONV(500 hrs at least) and FO3. I guess hacking blades and drangons + magic casting isn't really really my thing. At least not the first couple of times around. so I guess I will endeavor no try no not even that...force myself to go through the beauty filled world of skyrim, (who knows maybe I will start liking it like y'all gamers out there.
Wish me Luck my fellow Dragonborns ;)

Also, getting it on steam means my friends will see me playing it so my esteem goes up LOL but seriously installing mods isn't going to be the giant hassle it was and aybe modded I will like it, But no point getting Legendary edition now cos I haven't even completed.... hell played a few quests here and there (I did go up the mountains and learned the '"'"'"Thums'"'"'"'. As for comparisions heres both their tralers...look mostly composed of the same kinda stuff to me :D
Wish me Luck my fellow Dragonborns ;)
p.s In case you did not know Skyrim (Elder Scrolls 5) is and 3d Sandbox RPG what that basically means is that you are given a map within which you can freely wander about but so will other cteatures and NPC's (mostly neutral sometimes friendly or unfriendly non player controlled characters)
Ah SKYRIM HERE I COME AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH

Moronic that fallout3 & New Vegas weren't released here in India
I will get to why this happy thought came to mind on a a nice Sunday morning. But first....It's a happy Sunday and I wake up at 6 30, make tea for me and the family and leave em be and then come here sit on my desktop boot it up thinking of stealing some gaming time before the hubbub of the day swallowed me into itself and I tumbled and tossed (I wear a loose seatbelt) on this day's highway. While my mind is mulling over this the windows accounts page has opened and I log into mine, open blogger and straight away steam shows me this - there's a 75% off discount on one of the games that I have played for like 500 hrs and loved so much - Fallout New Vegas. At first excitement fills me coz owning it on steam will allow me the convenience of a marketplace for mods (It has a marketplace right?)By the way mods for this game deserve a special mention, if the game didn't have a super excellent community which developed fantastic mods like Project Nevada to re-balance the game and toughen up your courier a bit if he/she has to survive the harshness of the wasteland. Nevada skies for the lovely effecrs, EVE for essential visual enhancements, NMC's_Texture_Pack_For_New_Vegas about which the_name_says_it_all_doesn't_it?, Weapons mods expanded (WMX...love it) and many more honorary mentions. These mods here and their makers have enhanced one of the best games of this generation so much so that they made me stick to FONV for like a couple hundred more hours after my initial say 400 hours in to the game. Salute
Ok back to when I saw this steam update and to when my thought went to the next ugly one, DAMN You Microsoft and Bethesda for not selling it here in India!!!! You see some of the suits at Microsoft (could be from India) might have known that Brahmin (as its written in English but pronounced Brahman at least in India) is a caste of people amongst Hindu's which has what at least 25 different cast's?!?!? and the suites probably felt that releasing a game like FO3 in India might get a negative backlash because of the whole cows being holy for Indians and giving them the name brahmin might upset some Brahman Indians (who are supposed to be upper caste people compared to say a dalit but who both peddle taxis, work in factories and what not in 2008 the year when Microsoft took the decision to not launch Fallout3 in India. Anyways, two headed cows being called Brahmins did not even cause a small stir in the pot that's our world and I bet not a single suite/dev at Bethesda or MS got an email ranting about naming mutated cows as brahmins.
Ok Fallout1 and Fallout2 are still on sale and so are some more games that have been the definition of cool at their time of release. So you can head on over to Steam here to check the quakecon discount yourself. You can also click on the image to go there.
